Maybe, Maybe not...

Listen up, there are 10 machines in this route,
and they are all bulk vending machines that vend 1" bubblegums.
2-machines that are still in original locations have plain M&Ms.
I can service all 10 machines in 1 day, but I don't.
Since I work other jobs, I service 4 machines 1 day a week,
and at the end of each month, the route is completed.
I have a few charity boxes that are not up for sale because altho
they don't do as well, they are easy-peazy and I'm keeping
them for retirement.

I started a huge bulk-vending route while in college, 200 machines
in 150 stores, huge. It was fun and profitable, and it was back
before coin-counting machines, very hands-on.

This bulk vending route is an awesome starter route for family.
If u service all machines in 1 day once a month,
it earns $100 a month at the most.
If one develops relationships with the managers and/or
owners (I never did, I tend the machines and stay out of way as
much as possible, but only because I'm a mechanic,
not a salesman, Jim), sales can improve.

If one wants to work vending full-time, one can add to the route so
that 4-8 machines can be serviced 5 days a week without having to
re-visit machines more than 1ce a month.
One can invest slowly to get a feel for this business and route,
or can invest as u go.

That said, I may lower the price for the bulk vending route so that I
can invest into the smaller boxed charity route. I don't know when,
but fairly soon maybe...

Wildlife Waystation donations

Let’s take a look at some numbers.
I was on auto-pay for $10 a month to Wildlife Waystation,
And am on auto-pay for $5 a month to HSUS.
I also donate $2-$5 to various animal charities during every eBay purchase.
The donations ended up being almost half of monthly profits, so
I have cut down on purchases, and once I re-organize and expand the route,
and until I can find a comparable wildlife charity locally, I can add the Waystation back in to auto-pay.

It's Not True..!

It's just not true!
If u talk to yourself, u are not necessarily crazy!
Not even if u answer yourself!
It's called Thinking Out Loud, and it can help remember
all the things one has to do in a day.

Let's see, u can pray out loud, altho sometimes that's
best kept private.
One can't write notes nor text while driving, so what do u do?

1) U can call all over the place to try to remember what
appointments are when and where.
2) U can hire a private secretary so that u won't have to
talk to yourself like a crazy person.
3) Until Siri becomes a tad more intuitive, u can record notes
and play them back.
4) U can rely on the ole gray matter in the brain.
It's supposed to record everything one has ever done and said
somewhere in there, so use your brain, it's free.
Just a thought :-)

Summer is upon us

It is hot and humid.
Rough on humans, animals, and electric bills,
but the plants love it, it’s like a jungle, all bright green everywhere!

The candy machines are doing fine.
Peanut M&Ms are the only ones that crack,
and that’s because the peanuts inside them expand and contract with the heat,
even if they are brand new!
It makes the candy look old, even tho they’re not,
so don’t provide peanut M&Ms as much anymore, just plain.

Once I sell my route, I’m happy to provide training.
I can provide and share lots of tips.
Whether anyone listens or not is up to them!

Yes Route Still 4 Sale

Route is still for sale on eBay.
Lots of watchers, saves and inquiries,
 but no cigar.
Even tho it has so much potential,
don’t really want to sell it, but I will.
But then what will I do on Mondays?
Decisions, decisions...

Two Steps Forward, One Back...

One is supposed to utilize gazelle-like intensity to get out of debt.
But even gazelles get tired, especially at 60...
Right now, it's more like turtle-like intensity.
There are even some online that are trying 'avalanche' strategy
rather than 'snowball' strategy to get out of debt, but when things
get sketchy, I don't speed up, I slooooow down. A lot...
Either way, it works!

Bills, Bills, Bills, Bleh...

I crave the day when I can be debt-free,
and that it lasts, wouldn't that be wonderful?
If I can, I'll post it here with updates...

Update

Just FYI that the quarters from this route go to me 1st.
That is because quarters cannot go directly from the machines to Paypal.
Since donations to both the Humane Society and to the Wildlife Waystation
are on auto-pay, the quarters go to me 1st.

Busy, busy, busy...

So this route is arguably a golden goose, okay, maybe a brass goose.
It drops coins every once and awhile with no overhead.
I don't really spend a lot of time with it.
Since there are comparatively so few machines, I can visit the route one day
each week, and get thru it within 4-6 weeks, every machine visited.

It takes up one morning every week, and I work in the area the rest
of the day.
It makes about $100 a month.
I could sell the route for $1000.
It would take a year for this route to produce $1000.
The 2nd year would produce nothing because it would be sold.

I'll stay on the road and should I find work that pays more than my
route, only then can I afford to sell it.
In the meantime, it remains for sale on eBay for $6,500.00.

Selling Route, Not Selling Route

I have the main arm of my vending route up for sale on eBay,
check it out.
I kinda don't want to sell it, but I don't need it as much anymore.
It's slow profit, which I state in the auction ad.
Except that it is a beautiful route..!

Every machine is placed, brand new or like-new,
serviced and in tippy-tops shape!
The only reason the income is slow (Not non-existant,
just slow-going) is because I'm not a sales person at all.
A good sales-person could really sell this product.
You don't think it would make a difference, it does,
it's just not one of my particular skills at all.

Have an awesome St. Patrick's Day weekend..!
Stay safe, drive responsibly, support candy/gumball
machines and have fun!

Benihana's blue roof

With all the time on the road delivering, servicing, buckling/unbuckling seatbelts,
I got really sentimental when I drove over a hill and saw a bright blue tiled roof of
a Benihana's restaurant.
With all the work-at-homes and food deliveries, I wonder what people do on dates
these days?
Do they still go out to eat and to the movies?
I reminisced about visiting restaurants that had pools, ponds and waterfalls,
even wandering minstrels.
The lit ponds and showgirls can still be found in Vegas,
and the wandering musicians can be found around, too.
After a quick visit to the past, I returned to the road to reminisce later...

Life on the Road

I started out servicing my bulk vending machines in all their wonderful locations.
Then I naturally fell into delivery to a bunch of wonderful locations.
Definitely a service industry which is fine with me.

Brrr...

Thought we escaped that polar vortex thing.
Not so!
It got so cold, the chocolate in the plain M&Ms froze!
Do u know what happens when chocolate freezes?
It gets crumbly, as if it was really old, but isn't.
Fortunately, the candy stays room temperature in the locations,
but the stash I keep for myself didn't escape!
I know that the candy hadn't gone bad, so just let it melt
like it's supposed to do, and was fine!

Happy Game Day 2019!

Enjoy Game Day today!
Question; if both teams pray to win,
and all the fans are equally divided and all pray to win,
how does God decide?
I say that He knows what He's doing...

Lots of Changes!

I haven't given up on Honor Boxes. Yet...
I pray and pray and sometimes get rather nasty responses!
Life is hard, and sometimes easy, but always temporary.
Am supposed to be retired by now, but can't, and am thinking about adding verses from Proverbs every once and awhile to share here.
1. The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
2. To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
That's all I'm going to add right now.
The Bible can be very rough sometimes.
Who says it doesn't apply to today!?!

Happy New Year 2019

Lots of Vitamin C and warm weather, goodbye cold!
Back up and running on the road.
Yes, I not only try to test all product, taste tests are awesome,
are u kidding..?!? But I also I keep bubblegum on hand after
meals on the road. Works like a charm!

Have a safe and fabulous 2019!
