State Fair time of Year

  

I look forward to the State Fair every year. 

And I save up for that time of year to spend and support my home, 

then I return to scrimping and saving for next year!

Happy October 1st! Some random critters

They’re not pelicans, not ducks nor seagulls, 

They’re certainly not chickens, parakeets nor albatrosses, 

I can’t guess because your guess is as good as mine, 

Just a flock of beautiful white birds chilling in a shallow creek during the recent heatwave…

A deer whisperer but why?

 Some random guy feeds deer and I can’t find out why he does it, but was amazing to watch. 

He feeds them corn and feed and they’re polite! 

They stand in cleared out areas of soil, sometimes camping out in areas of sand, almost invisible like statues, out of the way of sidewalks and driveways. 

When he opens the garage door, they look over waiting for a cue and wander over for grains and such. 

 

Have no idea why..!?!

Bluebonnet wannabes

   I remember bluebonnets in fields across the state in spring, so when I saw rolling patches of blue near fields, streets and curbs, I wondered if bluebonnets bloom in summer/autumn, too. 

Nope, not sure what these are, but on a closer look, they don’t have the flowers or colors of bluebonnets. These are sort of a very light purple and the flowers are much more delicate than the sturdy bluebonnet stalks. 

I had to really deepen the contrast to show the actual color of these flowers because they fade in pics. 

The blue-ish/purple, green, and beige color contrasts are still lovely to see along the roads and thought to share it here.

  Dolphins

"The thought of freeing Rocky and Rambo and having to leave Johnny behind—and in isolation—was unbearable for all of us. But what could we do? Johnny’s teeth were worn down to the gums. He couldn’t catch fish properly. So we got busy, we got creative. “Leave no dolphin behind” became our new mantra. Follow-up x-rays confirmed the crowns Johnny received were of very high quality.

Approximately one hour post-procedure, our team witnessed Johnny successfully hunting and catching live fish in the foraging pen (a specially constructed pen for live fish feedings). It was immediately apparent he was experimenting with his new crowns. To our delight, his grasping power and manipulation of the fish dramatically improved to within the normal behavior of his species.

Sleet? Really?

 95° heat with sleet? How does that happen? 

Fastest climate change I’ve ever seen in my life, simultaneously fast!  

They were only about the size of a small thumbnail, but made a huge noise, really loud.

Post-Pandemic Skies

 No photoshop, color-mixing, not even enhancements, just gorgeous clouds, and a sky so brilliant blue, it hurt the eyes!

 Got to my 1st customer week before last. 

Next customer last week. 

It was so long between visits, I’ve got to go back twice! 

See? I haven’t forgotten u. Thanku so much for your patience!

Done deal

 Back up and running  🚙 

I called my wonderful customer and they didn’t even miss me! Whew! 

 They were very nice and said to come by when I can because the honor box was empty! 

That is good that it had sold out but not good that I couldn’t even get there to replenish  🙁 

The weather stayed hot but my car has cooled down, and I’m on my way Monday for real this time. 

I don’t know how long we can take the heat but at least Monday is a done deal!
